Reach regular telephone numbers
Recipients on the ordinary telephone network do not need PhoneCrypt or a special phone. That network leg determines protection beyond the gateway.
Protected connection
RSA 4096-bit and AES 256-bit encryption protect the link to PhoneCrypt infrastructure, which routes calls to the intended destinations.
Number and availability
A service-associated telephone number is provided. Stay reachable through it when using the device on another suitable internet connection.
Take it with you
Connect by Ethernet, or Wi-Fi with an optional adapter. No traditional telephone line is required at the location.

Before you get started
The device-to-PhoneCrypt infrastructure connection is encrypted. An onward leg through the ordinary telephone network is not automatically end-to-end encrypted. Both parties should use PhoneCrypt for maximum protection.

Is a call to an ordinary telephone end-to-end encrypted?
Not automatically. Encryption to a gateway does not encrypt the onward leg through the ordinary telephone network.
What connection does the device need?
An internet connection via Ethernet or an optional Wi-Fi adapter. A traditional telephone line is not required.
