HOW ENCRYPTION WORKS
Encrypted on disk. Work as usual.
DriveCrypt Plus Pack encrypts and decrypts data automatically in the background—in real time, without noticeable slowdowns. Keep using your applications as usual.
Authenticate before Windows
Enter your password before the operating system starts.
Decrypt as data is read
Only the sectors currently needed are decrypted as they are read, processed in memory and made available to Windows.
Encrypt as data is written
When saved, data is automatically encrypted before it is written to disk.
Data remains encrypted on the drive while the computer is off. Removing the drive and connecting it to another computer does not make its protected contents readable without the credentials.

Hidden operating system
DriveCrypt Plus Pack can hide a complete working system in the free space of a prepared outer operating system. Each system has its own credentials: one password starts the prepared system with its designated information; the other starts your hidden working system. An observer cannot determine which of the two systems has been started.
USB token before startup
Pre-boot authentication supports USB tokens and compatible storage devices as part of the sign-in setup.
Protect system and hibernation files
Swap and hibernation files are included in the encrypted system area. AES hardware acceleration is supported.
Prepare recovery
A recovery disk supports the intended disaster recovery process. Keep passwords and recovery data safe.
Destruction password
A configured destruction password erases BootAuth startup data and encrypted keys. This prevents the system from starting; without the keys, encrypted data remains inaccessible.

Password-snooping protection
Red Screen Mode protects password entry against certain keyloggers and trojans by passing input directly to DriveCrypt Plus Pack at the pre-boot level.

Can I use DCPP on a second PC?
One licence covers one PC at a time. To move it, follow the guide to decrypt, remove BootAuth, uninstall and reset the licence.
Does DCPP require a TPM?
No. DriveCrypt Plus Pack does not require a TPM.
Is the current version compatible with Windows 11?
Yes. The current version of DriveCrypt Plus Pack is compatible with Windows 11. The manual explains how to set up the additional features.
Can I centrally control or manage multiple computers?
DriveCrypt Plus Pack Enterprise is available for central management of multiple computers. It is a separate product with a management console for administering installations, users and security policies. You can find DriveCrypt Plus Pack Enterprise on our website.
What does the hidden operating system do?
Set up a visible, prepared operating system and a hidden working system with separate passwords. The prepared system contains the information you choose to place there. Your own password starts the hidden system with your confidential data. An observer cannot tell which system has been started. The manual explains the setup step by step.
How long does my software licence last?

Can I combine DriveCrypt Plus Pack and DriveCrypt?
Yes. DriveCrypt Plus Pack encrypts the entire system drive. DriveCrypt adds separately lockable containers, data partitions and external drives such as USB sticks. This protects the whole computer while letting you close selected data areas during a Windows session.
What happens when I read or save data?
DriveCrypt Plus Pack decrypts the sectors you need as they are read and encrypts data again before writing it to disk. You work in Windows as usual; data on the powered-off drive remains encrypted.
Can I combine system encryption with private containers?
Yes. DriveCrypt Plus Pack protects Windows and the system drive. Add DriveCrypt for separately lockable containers, partitions and removable storage.
